Good to know that this is happening after we made a limited but concerted amount of fuss!!

It really makes me glad I'm in a union and I do waver sometimes - , especially as 6 other library staff I know on the North Shore have either lost their jobs or their hours have been cut so severely that they may as well have lost them.

While this was a very positive visit and we are glad the MPs took the time to listen patiently to us, it is just the start of the journey in informing MPs and others about our needs and job conditions.

They appeared to know part of the picture so I would urge everyone to keep sending messages, getting questions asked of the Minister - preferably in the House- and planning further action.

I am a little averse to buying a tshirt out of my own money BUT I would buy a badge and wear it frequently if they could be made available.
