AC Chairs Meeting
Today I attended an AC Chairpersons meeting at National office. It was great to hear many positive comments made towards and about Support Staff. I think we are starting to break down the perspective of old around Support Staff and are now being seen as proffessionals in the education sector.

Well done Ylonda. I also find that accessing the collective on line is a lot easier then 'flicking' through a book. And if there are Support Staff who don't have access to a computer just ask your worksite rep.
Tax Cuts
The October 1 tax cuts will have very little effect on me personally. I will get just over $5 extra a week in my pay. BUT put that back into every day living with the increase in GST and I won't get to see any of it. When I got my groceries last week they were $8.75 more than they were prior to October 1...........there went my tax cut.John Key has given the tax cuts to the wrong people. I agree with your last point Jo. The issue I have with that is then the more needy students may never have the chance to succeed if this is a continual thing for them.

Love the picture and the new hair do. Have to find a decent looking photo of myself before I put one online. Wouldn't want to scare anyone. Had a terrible flight back to Taupo and just about kissed the ground when we landed. The drive home in my car was so much more pleasant.
