Accessing your Collective

I have heard a few moans about Support Staff not receiving a copy of their agreement but I have found having it on the web site very useful. Twice in the last few weeks I have had enquires where I have been able to bring up the relative information, print it out in a size that is easy to read and give it to them. This has been especially helpful when it involved someone with a visual impairment as I could make the print larger for them. Being the site rep I do have a copy I keep in my file and…See More

Well done Ylonda. I also find that accessing the collective on line is a lot easier then 'flicking' through a book. And if there are Support Staff who don't have access to a computer just ask your worksite rep.

Manukau March

Well done to all those that turned up to the Manukau march. I heard there was over 200. Dr Pita Sharples was at his office and took the time to met with us and the people of Papatoetoe certainly knew we were there. To everyone around the country, a big WELL DONE. To all the schools that allowed their staff time of this just reinforces to your support staff how much they are valued by you. :)Hopefully the Government might just sit up and take notice now.See More

Pay Equity Petition

What an awesome result. Over 10,000 signature so far. You should all be proud of yourselfs, keep up the great work. It was a privilege to be part of the team that presented them to Sue Moroney, Grant Robertson and Catherine Delahunty on your behalf.

Support Staff Day

I was lucky enough to attend two awesome Support Staff functions. The first, a breakfast held at One Tree Hill College. This was organised by Shauna and attended by about 20 Support Staff. As well as the breakfast we were shown some of the art pieces the school has by Paul BaraguanathThe second, a mid winter Christmas theme was for Support Staff in the South Aukland area. This was organised by Linda and we had 40 members attend. Lots of fun and quick fire questions along with some serious stuff…See More
